Open Day at the Urban Wildlife Centre, Corfe Mullen

It’s Open Day at the Dorset Wildlife Trust, Urban Wildlife Centre in Corfe Mullen on Saturday 16 May! Come along if you live nearby. As a fully-signed up volunteer (I have the t-shirt as you can see below!) muggins here will be in the Education Room showing people small mammals and reptiles (and trying not to be bitten by them while in front of small children), there will be a BBQ and guided walks on the beautiful Upton Heath. Lets hope the sun shines and we have a great day. I will try to get some pictures!

  1. I look forward to reading more about the great day!!

  2. How did it go? Hope you were luckier with the weather than we were.. not keen on wind & rain so I’ve had a pretty lazy weekend.

    • We were lucky with the weather. It didn’t rain while I was outside, and in the afternoon the “sun” actually came out!

  3. I hope your weather was better than ours, which is all too reminiscent and rather déjà vu-ish!

    • Hi Paula. No rain! I didn’t get wet once… amazing I know but the weather was kind to us. Great day had by everyone.

  4. So how was the day ? Will come back to see the images.

    • Unfortunately, as I was helping, I didn’t manage to get too many photographs. Too busy helping to colour in butterflies and keep small children amused! However, I have added an update as a post now with a few pictures of our afternoon guided walk.
